MedGuard is designed as an awareness layer: it organises attributable information, personal context and practical next steps without presenting them as a medical diagnosis.
Evidence keeps its label
Verified official reports and active model forecasts can create disease-specific outlooks. Weather and air quality stay separate as environmental context and cannot silently become outbreak claims.
Official updates stay attributable
Health News preserves the publisher, publication date and original link. MedGuard may use public NCDC and WHO material as sources; this does not imply endorsement.
Check-ins stay personal
Authenticated users can record structured wellness check-ins and see awareness-focused personal signals. The public website never receives this information.
Nearby care shares one location
The map and health screen use the same care-search context, radius and freshness state. Searching for care does not by itself change the alert area.
Notifications need a reason
Official reports target a matching state; forecast alerts require an actionable increase and remain labelled as estimates. Reminders are separate and user-controlled.
Still a prototype
The system is being tested, not presented as clinical infrastructure.
Early testers help us validate clarity, permission handling, relevance and safety. They should continue relying on healthcare professionals and official public-health guidance.
